Mr. Harrison's topic, "good lawns" was most explicit and included full de- tails for combating our sandy soil, -- types of seed, drainage, care and many recommendations for fertilizers and in- secticides. It was like old times having them with us again. We had several studies from which to choose, some very interesting sketches were made in charcoal and pastels. Members of the two clubs discussed their future plans for classes. A feature of the evening's pregram held in connection with the Northwestern Ontario Conservation Federation's display on March 8th at Terrace Bay, was 'the. presentation to local children of prizes won in a separate contest, sponsored by the Terrace Bay Fish & Game Club, Entries submitted by pupils from the local Separate and Public Schools were judged at a regular meeting of the Club. This selection also determined the posters and essays that. would be entered in the Federation contest, representing Terrace Bay.
