Mr. E, Rowson introduced the speaker, outlining Doctor Lavender's long and distinguished career in serving his fellow man, Doctor Lavender's talk on the subject of Brotherhood was most inspiring. A quot- ation from his talk is as follows: - "There is being borne home to the hearts of men and women that unless they' learn to live together as members of one family the out- look for the human race is exceedingly dark. Men of good will, everywhere, are recog- nizing that the one hope for mankind is not in:-bombs, but in that spirit of brotherhood which recognizes the fact that God has made of one. blood all the families of the earth to dwell in it." In conclusion Doctor Lavender empha- Sized that true Brotherhood must start and be sustained at the "grass root" level.
