Equipment has been ordered and on November 5th a meeting will be held for organizational purposes, at which time evenings will be determined and class divided into two parts, one to commence at 7:00 p.m, and the other at 8:00 p.m. The class on Monday will meet at 7 o'clock, At present only nine men 'have re- gistered for the Applied Electricity Course. No classes will be held unless the required minimum of ten enroll. If there are a sufficient number enroll those already registered will be notified in time for an organizational meeting on November 5th at 7:00 pom. 0-0-0 J. SHIVAS ADDRESSES T.B.H.S. Last Friday's meeting of the T,B.H,.S. was enlivened by a most informative talk given by Mr. J. Shivas on "Soils and Fertilizers", Mr. Shivas outlined, briefly, the history of the experimentation carried out in regard to commercially fertilizing soil in the last hundred years, He des- cribed the progressive natural action throughout the ages which gave us the form ation of the present local soil, He out- lined the necessary nutrients required by plants for growth and how to ap»ly them to the local soil for the greatest plant growth, The Society is indebted to lir, Shivas for this valuable and educational talk.
