RECIPE OF THE WEEK IRISH STEW 3 pounds cubed boneless lamb 6 medium-sized onions, peeled 12 small peeled potatoes 2 teaspoons salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper, Put meat in a heavy saucepan with water to cover, Add onions. Cover and simmer 1/2 hour, Drain liquid into a bowl. Skim off all fat. Pour liquid back over meat and onions. Add potatoes, 2 cups water, salt and pepper. Cover; cook till potatoes are done. Olga and Bryan McMillan of Fort William were weekend guests of the Fred MeMillans, Donnie McMillan celebrated his fifth birthday on iMonday, September 17th (Cont. on next col,) _also stopping at Toronto Page 4 AROUND THE TOWN with the aid of six young guests. Crockford of Thessalon, Ontario, Miss Glenna Redman visited friends in North Bay last weekend, lirs, Connie Burella arrived home Monday after a week's visit with her family in Winnipeg, She was accompanied by daughters JoAnn and Mary Lynn and while there attended the wedding of her sister, Joyce Starink to Sam Urso on Friday, September 14th at which JoAnn was the flower girl. Freda Heinrich returned home Tuesday evening having enjoyed two weeks visiting Judy Holford in Hamilton, Ontario and and, Niagara Falls ° f A meeting of the Dim Bulbs was held Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs, Mary Byers, Following reading of the minutes and Treasurer's report, plans were formu- lated for the Hallowe'en Party.
