Volume 6, No. 38 CANARIES WIN NORTH CAMP SOFTBALL The North Camp Softball playoffs re- duced to a best of three series, ended last Wednesday night September 12th not with a bang, but a whimper, for the Budgies at least. After having won the first game 9-7, the Budgies lost the remaining two games by scores of 16-4 and 20-16, Thus, the Canaries emerged as the champions of North Camp Softball in the first season of operation. We are sure all the fellows who participated in the Softball games enjoyed themselves, and it is hoped that this recreation will continue again next summer;without their en- thusiasm the games would not have been played, and possibly next year a permanent 3 or 4 team league will be organized. A note of thanks must also go to the Recreation Committee, through which Jim Fraser was able to get the new balls and bats that were used, o~0-0 GIRL GUIDE ASSOCIATION MEETING . The regular monthly meeting of the Terrace Bay Girl Guide Association will be held on Monday, September 24th at 8:00 pem. in the small meeting room of the Recreation Centre, Let!s have a good turnout of members and mothers of Guides and Brownies who are not yet members.
