PONY LEAGUE TOURNAMENT Our boys played in a good ball tournament in Red Rock last Saturday. Towns represented were Marathon, Red Rock, Nipigon and Terrace Bay, We played the first game at 10:00 a.m. and although we had good playing, we lost 2-1 after 7 full innings of play, The boys repres- enting our town were: Ron Schock, Richard Jeanneret, David Chopty, clifford Knauff, Joe Wig, Ray Arbour, Wilf Gaune, Jack © Little, Bob. Semeniuk and. Doug Moore, The boys had a good time and were given a hot dog, ice cream and pop supper, supplied by the different merchants in Red Rock, Much appreciation and thanks go to Mr. Cliff Knauff and Mr, Jack Little for making their cars available for the trip. Also, we thank Mr, McKay, who drove one of the cars down and back, The boys and myself would like to thank Mr. Joé Cavan- augh for his time and effort in coaching these boys throughout the year, LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL PLAYOFFS I am very sorry to say that after phoning all the boys on Friday to inform them of the time change for their play~ offs on Saturday, not even two complete teams showed up, The games were then postponed until Sunday, and again only 5 Yankees, 5 Braves, 4 Dodgers and 4 Red Sox players came out. Get down to the rink on Monday and Friday nights and try a game of lacrosse. BASKETBALL The season is fast moving around. to limbering-up time for basketball players. We hope to organize for this sport and commence playing this Thursday, September 13th. We want to have a senior team in Terrace Bay, If you want to play and- ean come out to practice, be out this Thursday at 8:30, in the High School Gym. -- = om MINOR HOCKEY FORMS Within the next week, forms will be passed out through the schools, We hope that all boys who are interested in playing either PeeWee, Bantam, Midget or Juvenile hockey will sign and return these forms to. the principal right away, LOST CLCTHING If your boysor girl lost any towels, coats, etc, during the past summer, make sure you call in at the Rec. Office and see the Lost Clothing Collection.
