BOWLING NEWS MARATHON DOWNS TERRACE BAY IN FIRST ANNUAL ROLL-OFF FOR NORTH SHORE MIXED FIVE PIN CHAMPIONSHIP. At 8:00 pem. on June 2nd, the "Inkspots" of Marathon and the "Chev's" of Terrace Bay bowled for the North Shore Mixed Five Pin Bowling Championship. A third entry from Schreiber unfortunately were unable to participate, This is to be an annual meet, and we hope eventually to have teams representing Nipigon, Red Rock and Geraldton, competing also. The "Inkspots" rolled their way to an easy 111 - pin lead at the end of the first game. "Chev's" came back with a strong 1105 string in the second, to put them in the lead by 55 pins going into the third and final game, Led by their Captain, Oscar Talarico (287) the "Ink- spots" put on the pressure in the third game and emerged victors by a margin of 96 pins.
