There is repair work to be done on the docks, etc. There is no life- guard on duty, so all those anxious swimmers will be using the beach facilities at their own risk, PARENTS: Do not let your children come home from school and say Jim said it was okay to go swimming. There will be some notification as to when the beach will officially open with supervision. aw me LITTLE LEAGUE BALL Tonight (Thursday) is the big night for the Little Leaguers. The first game will take place. at 6:30 sharp at St, Martin's School ball field. The second game will commence at 7:35, First Game - Yankees vs Red Sox Second Game- Braves vs Dodgers It would encourage these boys if they had some interested parents watching, so try to come out to see the games, The next Little League games will be played next Thursday, June 14th, at 6:30 -pem. In this game the Braves will play the 'Red Sox at 6:30 and the Dodgers vs the Yankees at 7:35. We hope that the coaches will be able to get out for a few practises with the boys. The teams can be notified through the schools or by telephone, PONY LEAGUE BASEBALL For boys between the ages of 13 years and 16 years of age. We are very happy to have the assistance of the Terrace Bay Loyal Order of the Moose in getting this League underway. TERRACE TEEN TOWN Members please notice that Friday, June 8th, will be our next Teen Club night. Get out with the gang.: ROLLER SKATING We were pleased to see so many ladies out roller skating on Tuesday night. We hope you enjoyed your skate and will tum up again. Tuesday, June 12th, there will be a "DAD AND MOTHER" Night. There will be no charge for any married couple to roller skate. Make sure you are out with the boss of the house, ELIZABETH TOT LOT We are working now to clean up and put this Tot Lot into good condition for the children to play. We would appreciate the co-operation of parents in helping to keep the area free from backyard trash, etc. These Tot Lots are set up primarily for children up to the age of 7 years. Any one over this age sure can damage facilities on these lots in a hurry. We ask the co- operation of all living in this area to keep an eye open and report any damaged swings, etc., to the Recreation office, TERRACK BAY RECREATION REPORT FOR THE YEAR 1955 (Cont. from last week) Director's Comments and Future Plans At this time I would like to express my thoughts in regard to our recreation pro- gramme. The people of Terrace Bay are very lucky and should be thankful to have this Recreation Centre. I believe that most of the adults and older people realize this, but those who are younger - our children and teen- agers who have never been out of Terrace Bay - have no idea just what they have for their use, The boys and girls, men and women in our community are a very good group of people with which to work, , One of the big projects for the coming years - and on which is. always necessary - (Cont. on page 7 )
