Cool in pans 5 minutes, then remove and complete cooling on cake rack, When cold, frost with Butterscotch Frosting, .0-Q-0 STORK CLUB NEWS Congratulations this week go to Mr, and Mrs. Paul Rochon on the birth of a son on April 20th, and, | f Mr. and Mrs, Marion Tychoniak on the birth of a son on April 21st, and, Mr, and Mrs, George Ramsey on the birth of a daughter on April 21st, 0-0-0 Page 4 AROUND THE TOWN : Mrs. George Maitland as Commissioner and delegate of the Girl Guide Association for the North Shore district, was present at the Annual meeting. held in St. Paul's Anglican Church, Bloor Street East, Toronto on April 5th and 6th, Mrs, Maitland attended with.four other commissioners from this area, and in all, 125 delegates registered from throughout Ontario, Concluding the meeting was the very impressive Gold Cord Ceremony, in which approximately 200 Girl Guides received from the Lt, Governor's wife, Mrs, Briethaupt their Gold Cords, the highest award in Guiding. Mrs, Maitland visited for three weeks in Toronto, Whitby, Bradford and eee Buffalo before returning home, Ed Zislke returned last Tuesday from a two week visit to Toronto where he wmderwent some First hand training as Insurance Agent. While in Toronto he met Dr, Thompson (Dentist) formerly of Schreiber, who asked . to be remembered to all his many friends ; at Terrace Bay and Schreiber. He also visited with his brother and family, Mr. and Mrs, Ernest Zielke of Kitchener, Ontario. A surprise party was held.at the home of Miss Joyce Sitch for Judy Holford who has left for Hamilton to complete her education,. The evening was very gaily spent with Novelty Dances and games and a delicious luncheon was served, Judy was presented with a lovely going away gift from her many friends, o-O-0 LADIES CURLING CLUB , F Saturday evening a Mixed Social was held in the Curling Club Lounge to wind up the year's activities of the Terrace Bay Ladics Curling Club. In charge of entertainment were Mary Hale and Elicia Evans-Smith and the guests enjoyed mixed curling, games and dancing during the evening, The Annual meeting of the Ladies Curling Club was held Tuesday evening April 24th in the Club room with President Elsie Ostling presiding. Business of the past year was reviewed by members of the executive, and election of officers for the 1956-57 season held with the following results: President - Peggy Wellings, 1st Vice- President - Ida Romaniuk, 2nd Vice-President Kae Thorsteinson, Secretary - Betty Bouchard, Treasurer, Sylvia Duquette, Exec- utive - Irene Edmond, Isebel Marsh, Jan Faust, Trustees - Ev Allen and Audrey Rowley, Auditors - Lois Haviland and Jean Wilson, (Cont, on page 10)
