The agenda for the three~ day get-to-gether will be posted on the notice board at the Recreation Centre, Read it over and see if you are interested, We are looking for transportation for this trip. If anyone could help out, it would be greatly appreciated and we would pay mileage and expenses. Contact the Recrea- tion Office as soon as possible if you can help out. MINOR HOCKEY Friday, March 30th, will be 'the closing date or organized PeeWee or Bantam hockey, We are proud of the way in which our athletes: played, and we will be having a wind-up party for them in the not too distant future. Our Bantam team played a very close game with Marathon on Sunday, in which they won the District Championship. The PeeWees are in their local play-offs now. The All- Star PeeWee team was defeated by the Schreiber boys. Our Juvenile team again took the District Championship and are practising for the bigger play-offs, which will be against one of the Lakehead teams, We would like all coaches to take an inventory of lockers and turn in keys to the lockers with a listing of locker contents, BROOMBALL yl . Last Sunday our men made a very good showing against the Ft, William and Port Arthur teams. We did not come out as winners but we had the experience of playing a more highly organized team than ours, Page 8 RECREATION FLYER (Cont. ): KIWANIS KIDDIES CARNIVAL == - On Saturday, April 7th, Rn 2:00 until 4:00 p.m,, there will be an after- noon of competition and fun for all those children under the age of 14 years, The costume contest will be a big highlight which will be held at the opening of the programme, and the following are the classificiations: 1. The most original boy and girl, 2. The best comic costume, 3. The best pair costume (example Jack and Jill) 4. The BEST EASTER BUNNY BOY AND GIRL 5. The judges!. special award. MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN THE RUNNING FOR ONE OF THE ABOVE COSTUMES. THE KIWANIS SNOW QUEENS have been nominated from all three schools by 'the students. It is quite an honour to be the Queen of your school or runner-up. The following girls were nominated: The High School Queen -l- Pat Romaniuk -2- Sandra Locking The Public School Queen-1-Bonnie Thomas -2-Leslie Gauthier -l-Jane Heenan ~2-Annette Boudreau These six girls will be honoured at our Carnival, and of course, being queens, will make some presentations of awards.
