At time of writing, what with four games played of the 30-Game Schedule, only two runs separated the loosers from the victors excepting the opener with a one run difference,. With softball scheduled every Monday and Wednesday at 6:30 and every other Sunday at 1:30 on behalf of spect- ators, not only are we indebted to the players for their grand performance, but also to Mother Nature for "playing on- our side", Attendances are increasing with each game, and of course aur attendance prize is an added "worthy for the coming out", Bill Sernesky didn't refuse the $13.00 passed him on Monday last! There still is room for more on the bleachers, and if it's softball at its best you seek, come on out ~-- and who knows, maybe you will also walk away with the attendance prize. Chairman Bill Borsum with his committee of last Friday's Softball Dance wishes to thank all those who helped towards the success of the dance, The Recreation Association has appropri- ated a sum of money for the purpose of renovating the equipment house to a more suitable club room for both softball and baseball, It is hoped that this work will. soon be done, so that we may all at the earliest derive the intended benefits, These club rooms should be the pride of both softball and baseball players alike, and congratulations are in order to the Recreation Association for a long awaited project, Softball Schedule for Week of June 5th Sunday, June 5th at 1:30 - Shift #1 vs. Shirt #2 Monday, June 6th at 6:30 - Shift #2 vs, Shift #4 Wednesday, June 8th at 6:30--Shift #3 vs. Shift #2 0-0-0 MEN VS, THE OLD MEN IN EXHIBITION BASEBALL We hear a rumor that the lads under 30 years of age have challenged the men ovc. 30 to a baseball game to be played June ith, The proceeds from this venture are being turned over to the Kiwanis Youth Service Work so support this game, More details in next weeks news,
