GEORGE WARDROPE SPEAKS TO KIWANIS CLUB Mr. George Wardrope, MLA. for Port Arthur constituency spoke to the Kiwenis Club at their regular meeting on Tuesday evening. He first made some remarks about Kiwanis Clubs in a community and among other things he stated, "--established for the purpose of fostering brotherhood and the golden rule---a community can only be better with a Kiwanis Club in 1H Mr, Wardrope then spoke of some of the requirements and advantages for northwestern Ontario and stated, "The first necessity here is roads and much emphasis is being placed on this". He told of the various projects which were to be constructed this year, Speaking of the St. Lawrence Seaway he said, "Deep waterways will move the seaway 1000 miles inland and put us right on the sea border -- this will be a great advantage to this area", The speaker was introduced by C. E. Paget and thanked by Ken Weppler. M. 0.
