TERRACE BAY AMATEUR SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION ELECTS NEW OFFICERS At the annual meeting of the Terrace Bay Amateur Softball Association held on March 30th, the amual reports sub- mitted by President Ed Pineault, Secretary Betty Austin and Treasurer Roland Gris- haber were all unanimously endorsed by the members, The highlight of these reports pointed to the great success of the 1954 Softball season climaxed by the Fall Ball held in September, It was also noted that over a hundred players took part in this popular summer sport and that the attendance was approximately 12,000 - an all time high, What with a fair share of the receipts spent on equipment, players were well taken care Of, The Nominating Committee of Ed Pineault, Betty Austin and Roland Gris- haber presented a new slate of officers consisting of President - Peter E, Mazza Vice-President Steve Keller, Secretary John Jeanneret, Treasurer Ken Hutchinson and William C, Borsum representing the Terrace Bay All Star Team, In taking the chair, newly- elected President Peter Mazza hailed the members in putting in office a slate that will work all the harder to shatter the previous softball record. The members went on record to have as many games as last season as well as the same use of the diamond. Also, it was decided that an appeal to the parent group is not necessary for any team in their seeking of sponsorship or uniforms. The wishes of the majority indicated more individual trophies as well as only one prize to the team winning the championship.
