Volume 5, No. 15 HOME AND SCHOOL MEETING APRIL 18TH The regular monthly meeting of the Home and School Associstion will be held Monday evening, April léth, at 8:15 Pem. in the High School. An interesting program on Steven Foster, beloved American song writer has been arranged. The story of his life and the stories behind many of his famous songs like "Old Black Joe", "My Old Kentucky Home" and many others will be portrayed. Pupils from St. Martins, Public and Continuation School are combining, along with 2 male choir members to make this evening a very enjoyable one and a special invitation is extended to one and all to attend. 0-0-0 EXHIBITION HOCKEY Friday, April 15th at 9:00 p.m. WHITE RIVER vs. TERRACE BAY JUVENILES. Saturday, April 16th at 1:00 p.m. BEARDMORE ALL STARS vs. TERRACE BAY BANTAMS Admission for the Juvenile Game Adults - 35¢. Admission Free for the Bantam Game, o-0-0 BUS SERVICE DISCONTINUED FROM APRIL 30TH The regular mill bus schedule will be discontinued on May lst. The last run for the summer season will be made on midnight April 30th. GY BRASSARD WINS TERRACE BAY AMATEUR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION MOST VALUABLE PLAYER AWARD Last Saturday the 2 Benefit games were played at the local arena. Terrace Bay Ladies defeating Schreiber Ladies 2-1 ina good game with thrills and spills aplenty. Betty Austin scored the 2 goals for Terrace Bay assisted by Olyve Harrison and Sparky Black while Schreiber's lone tally was made by Frankie Caccamo from Lorraine Weaver. Before the start of the second game the Most Valuable Player Award to Cy Brassard was made by Jim Cumming in the form of a jacket. The second game between the Superiors and the House League All Stars saw the House League defeated 14-2 in a game that was fast and fairly rough with the better condition of the Superiors showing up after the first period. John Falzetta in the All Stars net played a good game even though the score did not indicate li Harry Smith and Geo, Rouhainen were the winners of the 2 door prizes. o-0-0 DWV COX.
