McCausland, Medical Officer of Health today made the following announce- ment: "It is hoped that polio vaccine may be made available this Spring for human vaccination, Owing to the fact that the supply of vaccine is limited. the Dept. . of Health propose to restrict its-use to chitoren presently enrolled in the first and second gradges of Elementary Schools, both Public and Separate. The vaccine will be supolied without cost, - It will be necessary that written consent for inoculation with the vaccine be secured from the respective parents or guardians, It must be remembered that there should be no promises made as to the efficacy of the preparation."
