Tigers were short handed which was probably the reason they came out on the short end of a 5-4 score. In the first period the Flyers got off to a quick start scoring, E, Belliveau from Crockford in the first 12 seconds of play. Flyers also scored in this period Cote from Ziegelman and E, Belliveau from Papousek, Tigers scored Legault from Mikus, The only penalty went to Papousek of Flyers, In the second Flyers again led the way, E. Belliveau from L. belliveau'and MacDonald from Cote, Charban of Tigers scored unassisted. L,. Belliveau and Bottomley both drew penalties, In the. third period.Tigers scored two well deserved goals near the end of the period, Janicki from.Legault and Legault unassisted. Final score 5-4 for Flyers. Referees were W. Sadowick and F, Hanna, After the above game #2 Shift entertained the White River team with the aid of Legault from Tigers, I. Delaronde from #4, Struct. and Cote and Henry of Flyers. The score of 6-1 souncsnot so good but it was a hard fought game all the way and the boys from White River played clean fast hockey. Cote started the scoring unassisted and then scorec the next one from an assist by Louk, Then Cote again from Delaronde, White River scored their only goal near the end of the period on a beautiful passing play which if they had duplicated it often enough would have won them the game. Two penalties were handed one to #2 Shift and one to White River. Hall from McNally started the second period followed by Cote from (Cont. on next col.) Page Ay HOUSE LEAGUE HOCKEY (Cont.) Louk, Again the penalties were evenly onlie 2 for each team, In the last frame McNally scored from Hall and the penalties went one apiece #2 getting a game mis- conduct, Final score 6-1 for #2 Shift, Referee L. Belliveau. Monday, February 14th #2 Shift were hosts to #4 Struct. in a rugged and aggressive game, In the first stanza for #2 Waghorn scored from Kulcheski, Marostica from M, Campbell and again Marostica from M. Campbell. For Struct, Louk scored from Smith and J. Stewart unassisted. Kulcheski drew the only penalty. In the second period the scoring for #2 were Hall from Waghorn and McNally H. Campbell from Hall and Waghorn and Waghorn from Campbell and McNally. For Struct. Delaronde from Louk, One penalty.went to Newton. In the third #2 did all the scoring as follows, Campbell from McNally, McNally from Waghorn and Hall and Waghorn from McNally Final score 9-3 for #2 Shift. On Wednesday, February 16th another double feature was played, the first game between #3 Flyers and #2 Shift. This was an exceptionally clean fast game and what pemalties were handed out were for accidental minor infractions, In the first period #2 scored three times as follows, Marostica unassisted, Hall from Newton and H. Campbell unassist--- ed. The Flyers scored twice, Papousek from Bottomley.and Kurylo from L, Belliveau Two penalties were awarded ene to Flyers and one to #2, In the second period the teams broke even one goal each and three penalties each, For #2 Timpano from Louk and the penalties, Santerre, Marostica and Waghorn. For Flyers L. Belliveau unassisted and penalties went' to Storvold, Bottomley, and L, Belliveau. In the third McNally from Waghorn for #2 and no penalties, Final score 5-3 for #2 Shift. Referees were M. Osmar, and D. Desrosiers. sImmediately after this game {1 Tigers played an exhibition game with the Juveniles, These boys really must have what it takes for they took the Tigers to the tune of 9-6, In the first period they scored the only two goals Kenny unassisted and Marsh from Kenny. E. - Charban of the Tigers drew the only penalty. In the second period the Juven- iles again scored 'the only two goals Kenny unassisted and Boudreau from B, Marquis. There were no penalties.
