LaCroix 0-0-0 NORTH SHORE HOCKEY A near capacivy crowd had plenty to yell about at the Hockey Gardens on Tuesday night when Marathon Mercury's and Terrace Bay Superiors tangled for the fourth time this season, Although the "Soups" came out on the short end of a 4-3 overtime score the game had everything for a crowd pleaser, Both teams gave all they had from the opening whistle to the final bell in overtime and -'were never more than one goal apart, in fact both teams were so interested in the score that very few of them found time for the rough and tunble style of hockey usually played when these teams meet.. Marathon went one up on the only goal in the first period, stayed one up when both teams scored a goal in the second, Terrace went ahead in the third 3-2 only to have Marathon tie it up with about 6 minutes to go and send the game into overtime, The Mercurys scored the only. goal of the overtime to win the closest and hardest fought game seen on lecal ice this season, For Marathon Amadeo had two goals, (Cont. on next col,) Page 7 NORTH SHORE HOCKEY (Cont) Henderson and Southern one each, Jim Moro got two for Terrace and Hayes one.
