MEN'S CHORUS 1ST. ANNUAL CONCERT A HIT Last Friday, May 21st the High School Auditorium was well packed with an enthus- iastic audience who obviously enjoyed the Men's Chorus 1st Annual Concert.~ The Chorus was under the direction oh Miss. Mc Adam, The range of selections fe the chorus was quite varied, The selections concluded on a happy note, The Chorus was reehied upon for three encores. The first concert was a big' 'hit with the audience who undoubtedly will be looking forward to their concert next year. Members of the Terrace Bay Men's Chorus and their wives enjoyed a:delightful lunch after the concert last Friday evening Mr. Norman Klevin, conductor of the Fort William Male Choir, and several choir mem- bers who attended the Terrace Bay concert were guests. The Men's Chorus presented Miss McAdam with a number .of phonograph records in appreciation for her services as conductor. They also gave Ray Husband a pen and pencil set for his work as accomp- anist. We have been advised that tickets to the "Big Sing" in Fort William on June 5th are just about impossible to obtain in the Lakehead. Bob Shirriff has a supply of tickets for any Terrace Bay people who may - want to attend. GO ON FLAT RATE At the Improvement District Meeting on Wednesday, May 26th it was decided to place all townsite water heaters on a flat rate rather than on the pregent meter rate, The following domestic rate comparisons apply : Present Rate 4OKWH © 3.5¢, 180 @ 1,6¢ Balance @ 0.75¢ Service Charge 56¢.
