MEN'S CHORUS CONCERT MAY 21ST This Friday, May 2lst at 8:15 p.m. the Terrace Bay Men's Chorus will present their first Annual Concert. So folks, make a date to be there, Tickets are available from any chorus member or you can get them at the door. Just remember to be at the High School Auditorium on Friday at 8:15 p.m. The Terrace Bay Men's Chorus was organ- ized just about a year ago, when a group of men asked Miss Beulah McAdam if she would direct a group if one were organized, Upon receiving an enthusiastic consent fron. her, invitations were sent out to all men who it was thought might have an interest, About fifteen met, elected some officers, and set up committees to draw up a set of bylaws and select some suitable music, Ernie Rowson had some copies of "The Winter Song" which the group started to leam. The Recreation Committee granted a loan to the group, and they ordered additional music, After quite a search, Rey Husband agreed to serve as accompanist. Shortly after this the officers of the Fort William Male Choir heard about the formation of the chorus here, and offered their help, They sent 25 copies each of a couple of songs to help fill the gap. Later they announced that they were to be hosts on June 5, 1954 to the member choruses of the Upper Midwest area of the Associated Male Choruses of America... They invited the new Terrace Bay to participate in this "Big Sing", even though it is not a member chorus, As a result, twenty men began rehearsing last October, with a double objective in mind, One is their own first annual concert in Terrace Bay on Friday night, May 21st, The second in the Big Sing in Fort William on June 5th, Both should be well worth hearing,
