Betty has been the cus- todian of iodine and band-aid emporium Since it first opened some time ago, Betty's smiling face, sense of humour nnd ready lnugh will be missed by all of us who hed ocension to drop into the First Aid room. She will be ably replaced by Phyllis Wocds (nee Birt) who has relieved Betty from tim to time during the past year or so, National Safety Council Strndards "FL. 7299 THE VANIERS LEAVE TERRACE BLY It is with a great deal of reluctance that we sry iu Revoir to Sylvette and Fairfield Vanier who will be leaving us in a day or so for the 'lest Coast, During their stay in our Community they have made themselves known to us through their un- tiring efforts to do their bit to help with the organization of various projects in the Town, lthough their efforts were confined mostly to the wrk involved in the Canadian Legion, Mrs. Vanier served as Treasurer of the Ledies Auxilliary while Fairfield hid just been elected to the post of President of the Senior Branch for 1951, their help was felt in other groups nround town. "Van" had contributed a great deal of time to the formetion of the loecrl Credit Union and the spot that he leaves vacant that will be most difficult to fill will be in his worthy contributions to the "News" end "Co-operation", The "News" joins with the rest of their friends in wishing this couple lots of luck and success in their new community. o-0-0 The Terrace Bry Fire Department wishes to thank all residents of the Townsite, North Csamp and Hotel for their co-operntion in preventing fires over the Christmas and New Year Holidays, It is very gratifying to know thet our citizens are willing to co-operate when '¢@alled upon, and we trust thet the fires for 1951 will be few and far between, 0-0-0
