This 'spiel was open to any member of the club who wished to enter a rink. and though only 8 rinks were entered it was a close battle for all. The rinks were skipped by Ernie Haight, Jack Wellings, Ed Pineault, Bill Baillie, Jim Duncan, Runie Ostling, Malcolm Craig and Paul Boudreau. Two events were run off and the 'spiel ended as follows: winners of the main event with the coveted Hudson's Bay trophy going to the winners - Malcolm Craig's rink with Ted McInnes - third, Bob Sheppard - second and Albert Farrow - leads Runner-up in main event - Ernie Haight's rink with Lorne Woodard - third, Jack Johnson - second' and Walter Gabrielson as lead, Winners of the Consolation event - Ed Pineault's rink with Jim MacDonald - third, Gordon Keeley - second and Jim (Curly) Hale as lead, Runner-up in Consolation event - Jack Wellings' rink with Bill Geiger - third, Peggy Wellings - second and Irene Edmonds as lead, The Club Championship, with the Imperial Bank Trophy at stake was won after a hard fought battle by Ed Pineault's rink with Jim Duncan as third, Gordon Keeley as second and Jim Hale as lead. Runner-up in Club Championship ~- Runie Ostling's rink with Elsie Ostling as third, Albert Farrow as second and Ken McKay as lead, The play-offs for the Imperial Bank trophy caught the interest of the whole club even though many of them did not stand a chance after the second round. Runie Ostling's four held a substantial lead about half way through the second round and it was felt that they were home free. However, in the third round in which Ed Pineault had four games to play and Runie Ostling had three, Pineault surged ahead and the third round ended with Ostling and Pineault tied with 14 wins each for the season, This meant a sudden-death game was necessary which was played on Wednesday, March 8th and from which Pineault emerged victorious, The Annual Banquet and presentation of prizes will be held around the middle of April.
