Marathon and Terrace Bay tied for games won at 14 apiece while Schreiber stood well out in front with 20 wins. Competition was keen and it was particularly noted that Schreiber really takes their badminton seriously and they certainly put on a good exhibition. The Club staged a Community Fish Fry at which 275 persons were served. The menu consisted of fish, chips, peas, bread, butter, coffee and pie and was prepared entirely by the members. (After serious consideration the men compromised, however, and purchased the pies.) Serving was done by the town Doctors, School Principal, and other well known men of the Community.
