Page 2 TEEN TOWN On Saturday, October 29th, "Teen Towm" had it's first Hollow'teen Dance which proved to be a gala affair, Members arrived dressed in their costumes of black and yellow ena for the most part were of original design, The prize for the best dressed girl was won by Dociie Thorstienson, who represented a ghost. «* Terry McInnes was awarded the prize for the best dressed boy, He depicted the role of a "conviviel" sa' lor. "Teen Towm" is loolding forward to many more of these hilarious evenings and in this connection all "Teen-Tovners" are rorinded that the next meeting is scheduled for Saturday evening, Noverbor Sth from 7:30 to 11:00 pem. Dancin; after the usual meeting will be on the programme, O=0=0 . SCOUT AND CUB NEWS Terrace Bay Scout Corriittce held a meeting at the home ef Wilf Orcen, Members present were Rev. A. Lavender, Father Roenicke, Herman Roberts, Ed Cavanaugh and Cubmaster Rolin Wills. Arranperients wore made for the Scout and Cu Dedication Servicc, which will take place shortly, date and place will be announced in the next issue of the News. It was decided to hold over the Scout sponsored, Father and Son benquet until scmetime in January, owing to the many events planned for November and December. Howover, if one was to judge by the number of firsts, seconds and third places taken by students from Terrace © Bay, it would appeer to have been & Terrace Bay imect, Top honours and our hearty congra+ tulations go to Anita Duncan who walked off the field as Sontor Girls! Champion (you can really stick your chest ows after that, Jim). Another Terrace Bay student, Donna Wooc, was tied for second place in the same events, Thouzh our boys cidn!t bring home any tro~ phies, they showed cur neighbours that they are not to be counted éut whe: it comes to displaying physical powers. Among some of those who placed in the various events that they entered are as follows: Girls = Benita Smith, Florence Cormton and Charmaine Dodse. Boys & George De Long, Jaci: Shaunessy, Rey Husband, Gordon Sevo:r, Walter Sitko and Glen Baillie. ! Nice work, girls and boys, congratulations to all of yous ; o-O=0 SKI ENTHUSIASTS The ski hill, situated west of the surge tank at the Hydro Power Plant, iio near complétion, but more help will be required if it is to be fine ished before the heavy snowfall. A road has been put in from the highway to the top of the hill and shacks which will be used for clubhouse are there to be erected and pute into shape, Anyone having cars and wishing to transport some volunteers to the hill will be appreciated by the ski executives, as we must have this hill completed if we are to enjoy good skiing this winter. : } 6-0-0 CARD OF THANKS The ladics of St. Martin's Guild wish to oxtend their thanks to every one who made the Harvest Ball last Friday the success it was.
