Tho Hike and Weiner Roast scheduled for this week will take place Friday night for the Scouts and Saturday night for the Cubs when it is expected a good time will be had by all the boys. They will meet at the Legion Hall at 5:15 p.m. both evenings. It is important thet everyone be on time, Transportation will be provided from the Sandy Beach east of the Lakeshore pumphouse for the return trip at approximately 8:15 p.m. The Scout Committee take this opportunity of thanking those who have kindly donated their time and cars for this purpose. While most of the boys were awkward to say the least, their enthusiasm was really something to behold. There is no question about the fact that training the youngsters in this manner will do much for the sporting life of the community in the future and in the meantime the lads are going to have a lot of fun, 4s a matter of fact, they are already making plans to play hardball against nearby communities. The two team captains for the afternoon were Tim McInnes and Terry Cavanaugh, Those also present at the practice were R. Marcella, Billie Marsh, John LeBlanc, Doug Smith, Jackic Marsh, John Boudreau, John Galvin, Stan Kowalik, Paul Marcella, Roger Savoy, Gord Savoy, Jake Compton, Morris Sitko, Terry McInnes, Reg LeBlane, Stan Savoy, Claude Boudreau, Ronnie McKay and Gil Savoy.
