A. F. Lavender, united in marriage Mary Maude Covington and Warren Stanley anderson, Given in marriage by her father, W. W. Covington, the bride wore a floor length gown of white embossed organdie and carried a bouquet of white carnations. She was attended by a bridesmaid, Miss Irma Waara who wore a pale blue gown of eyelet organdie and carricd a bouquet of pink carnations, The bride's mother chose a chocolate brown gabardine suit with matching accessories and wore a corsage of Talisman roses. The groom was attended by H, S. Craig as best man. Music was provided by lirs. T. S. Hodgkise at the piano and Fred Soughton who sang "Begause" and "Through the Years", The church was beautifully decorated with white. snapdragons, tall white tapers, and tamarack. ' Following the ceremony, about 60 guests were entertained at a reception held ab the home of the bride's parents, lir. and lirs. W. W. Covington, 42 Pine Crescent, The bride and groom left Terrace Bay following the reception for an extended motor trip. On Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. a Masonic Chureh Service will be held at Terrace Bay Community Church to which the general public is invited, Ladies of visiting liasons will be entertained on Saturday evening at Hotel Terrace and the wives of all. local Masons are cordially invited to mect with the visitors in the hotel lobby at 8:00 p.m, o-0-0 TERR/.CE BLY HARDBALL TR'M VICTORIOUS IN TWO MORE GiMES OVER SCHRELBER During the hard= ball season, Terrace Bay and Schreiber have met five times, with the local boys gaining victories in the last three encounters, Last Saturday evening Schreiber-lost no time in chalking up five runs in the first two innings off Hugh Chesley who was very liberal with passes, issuing four bases on balls. This coupled with two timcly hits gave Schreiber a commanding lead. Morris Howe relieved Chesley on the mound however, and for the balance of the game held Schreiber to two runs. 5 Terrace Bay's big moment came in the sixth inning when they pushed enough runs across the home plate to win by a 10+7 count, : On Tuesday night in 2 closely contested: match with Bill Borsum doing the hurling and Thil Stuart behind the plate, Terrace Bay came out on the long end of a close 4-3 victory. The local team is: rapidly rounding into shape and it is hoped that teams from both Marathon and Nipigon will be brought here for exhibition games.in-thbd. near future.
