In areas where this is not practical, however, a good method of dealing with the problem is to spread gritty materials such as sond»gravel or fine cinders over slippery surfaces thereby making them skid-proof. This applies around the home as elsewhere. Iecicles are dangerous at any time in fact they have the peculiar habit of growing in places where they are dangerous in spite of practical efforts to prevent them. When they do form they should be removed, especially at doorways. When removing icicles care should be taken to guard against injury from falling ice. Winter driving is always more hazardous than driving during other seasons of the year and while we can't regulate the weather, we can regulate our driving. A clear windshield, and chains, can prevent accidents when it is sleeting or snowing. Seasonal precautions are important at this time of year to eliminate hazards and reduce 'accidents. An ounce of prevention is still worth a pound of cure. 9-0-0 _ TURKEY DRAW AND AUCTION PLANNED FOR DECEMBER 16th A Turkey Draw-and. Asgtiion will heeded
