Work is now being done by the Longlac Telephone Company in connection with this service and tenants interested in having telephones installed in their homes should make application for the service to the Town Clerk, Frank Strutt in the Municipal Office located in the Arcade of the Shopping Centre. Apply 23 Selkirk Avenue (House #23). 0-00 ANNUAL CURLING CLUB MEETING TO BE HELD OCTOBER 21st The innual Meeting of the Terrace Bay Curling Club will be held in the Recreation Hall at 8:00 p.sms on Thursday, October 2lst. This will be a most important meeting as plans must be made for the forthcoming season and the election of officers will be held. During the past two or three weeks a considerable amount of work has been done in the club room at the east end of the Curling Building. 411 members and persons interested in curling should make a special effort to attend the Jnnual Meeting. o=-O0-0 FOOD FOR THOUGHT In many respects Terrace Bay is "arriving", The "construction period" is nearing an end and the "operating stage" is nearly upon us. Community activities have gradueily expanded and as time goes by they will further expand. Apart from the regularity of organized activities, "events" add much to the "way of life! in e community such as Terrace Bay. A recent example was the visit of Canada's 'Number \ One! Dance Band "Mart Kenney and His Orchestra", Other "events" will be staged at Terrace Bay and there is no reason why community concerts should not play their part. At first it may not be possible to bring to Terrace Bay,Concert i.rtists of world renown, but many good Artists are available at a fee which should make possible their appearance in our community. a:
