Keep those dancing slippers handy and watch the paper for further information. TERRACE BaY ANGLERS' CONTEST ? Only one change was recorded during the past week in the Anglers! Contest which closes Sept. 15th. & 2 1b. 10 oz. speckled was caught by R, Whitebread of LongLac's warehouse staff. This edged out Paul Boudreau for second place in Class #1 by a mere 2 ounces. Prizes of $5.00 and $2.00 are offered in each of 4 classes for the heaviest fish caught in these parts by anyone associated with the LongLac project. Fish must be angled. Official Judge is Ed Cavanaugh, postmaster, Chairman of Contest, Rupe Clowes, NOT JUST ANOTHER "FISH STORY" We are reliably informed by Fred Baader, one of the divers for Canada Dredge, working on our water intake, that while down on one of his dives recently, 4 good sized sturgeon swam up to him, not at all shy, and peered through the glass window in his helmet. On the afternoon of the same day, Fred saw four good sized trout, each nearly 2 feet long, nibbling at fungus growth on a bulkhead and striking at air bubbles escaping from his diving helmet. This should be en- couraging news for those who frequent the water intake bay in search of a "big one", & YESR 4GOQ THIS WEEK AT TERR:.CE BAY In the Townsite the first house was erected by North imerican Buildings as Ontario Construction continued to excavate and pour concrete for basementSecesecce Clearing gangs were busy at the Millsite removing stumps. A start had not yet been made on the excavation for the pulp storage building.......B. J. Donovan of LongLac's Head Office in Toronto, visited the project.......eThe tank for the Lower Camp water tower arrived and was unloaded........water tower legs were in place........Gasoline pumps were set up by Imperial Oil....+...water from our reservoir, tested by Ontario Health authorities was graded "/.",..e.ee.0nly 170 men were at work on the entire project. AN_ARTIST AT WORK &nyone interested in artistic excavation should take a walk down the black liquor sewer line and watch Albert Luciani (one of Fraser Brace's favourite shovel runners) handle the Lorain Drag Line.. Albert makes his own road, works off his pads (platforms on which the crane rests) and incidently uses the same pads to "Butter the slope" (a construction term referring to a smoothing out operation which could be the mechanical equivalent of a cement finisher's technique. ) Nice going Albert - its a swell canal, 41 THE MOVIES 411 shows are now held in the new Recreation Hall at 8,00 p.m.
