FRESH ONTARIO A Whitby man is going to have to work harder to impress his daughter. Adam Parks, 45, won $921,610.50 after winning a second prize in the March 29 Lotto Max draw. While getting ready for work one morning, Parks checked his ticket and found out he'd won. "I saw I had six numbers and the bonus, and I started screaming. I was so excited," he said. Parks's screaming woke up his daughter. "I had to tell her everything was okay and when I told her about my win she said, 'That's amazing' and went back to sleep," he said. Parks has been playing the lottery for about 25 years and his favourite games are Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49. The whole experience was overwhelming, he noted. "I had to let it soak in. I literally screamed 'We just won the lottery!' at the top of my lungs. It's unreal. A total shock," he added. The win means his daughter's university is paid for. "The rest will go towards a house." The winning ticket was bought at Shell on Taunton Road in Whitby. Adam Parks of Whitby won $921,610.50 in the March 29 Lotto Max draw. OLG photo WHITBY MAN WINS BIG IN LOTTERY NEWS
