In loving memory, we mourn the passing of Robert 'Bob' Irvine, in his 92nd year, on March 12, 2021 at Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre. Bob was predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years, Ellen (2006), whom he is most certainly dancing with once again. Dear father of Tim (Rita), Shelley (Joe) and Michele. Dearly remembered by his grandchildren, Kristen (fiancé Patrick), Garrett (Alyssa), Ashley and Michael. Bob's love of sports was a strong presence in his life from a young age. His professionalism and compet- itiveness was evident in all pursuits he undertook in life. Bob played hockey in his earlier years and later moved on to refereeing. He also enjoyed many rounds of golf with family and friends. Bob was keen to pitch horseshoes, play a round of charades, deal cards for Euchre or challenge you to a game of pool. As an avid 5-pin bowler, Bob's commitment to league and recreational play at NEBS Fun World continued past his 90th Birthday celebration. It was well known within the family that if you challenged Grandpa to a "Game" you needed to bring your "A" game. A favourite past time of Bobs was to take a daily walk to Tim Hortons where he spent time visiting with staff and friends while enjoying a cup of coffee and a donut. Bob will be loved, deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends. The family would like to thank the Management and Staff at NEBS for their extraordinary kindness and support to Bob over the years. We would also like to thank the dedicated staff at Chartwell Wynfield Retirement Residence, The Village of Taunton Mills and most recently the palliative care staff at the Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre for their care and compassionate support pro- vided to our dad and grandpa. Visitation will take place at the Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West, Oshawa from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 14th. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, 690 King St. E. Oshawa on Monday, March 15 at 11 a.m.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob to the Alzheimer Society, Canadian Cancer Society or the Salvation Army-Toronto Grace Hospital would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
