He was preceded in his death by his wife Joyce and son Curtis. Roy is survived by his son Michael. Roy loved to reminisce and share his memories of growing up in Oakville along the shores of Lake Ontario. Roy was a long- time employee of Rubbermaid Canada, an active volunteer with Community Living, and a passionate contributor to the Oakville Historical Society. He loved big band music, classic cars, and Tim Hortons coffee. He will be missed by friends and neighours. GALASSI, John (1947 - 2022) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of John Galassi, on March 11, 2022, in his 75th year at home with his beloved wife and dog Buddy by his side. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 34 years, Rosemary Bartello. Amazing and fun dad to Gina (Rich) and Jen MaGarrey (Mike), who will so greatly miss their "GREAT FUN DAD". His grandchildren, Noah, Ava, Olivia, and Macy were his pride and joy, and, in his eyes, they could do no wrong. They will forever miss his laughter and bear hugs. John was born in Italy and immigrated to Canada as a child. He made countless friends throughout his life and wherever he went. He "knew a guy" for absolutely anything we needed. He was a retired employee of Stelco, long time member of Glendale Golf & CC, and Referee in Chief for Oakville Minor Hockey for over 20 years. CHRISTENSEN, Glenn ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ At 3:30 a.m. on Friday March the 4th the world lost a legend and we lost our Glenn. Having bravely fought off cancer and living in remission for 10 years, it returned. Despite his best efforts to fight the disease and the wonderful care he received, we weren't so lucky this time. Dad, Husband, Brother, Grandpa, Handy Guy, whatever you called him, Glenn showed up for those he loved and he loved many. Always one with a hand to lend and a joke to tell he was generous in mind, body and soul.
