That shooting, which police said was targeted, took place at 11:50 p.m., at a residence in the area of Er- nest Appelbe Boulevard and Dundas Street East, and resulted in one man being transported to hos- pital with non-life-threat- ening injuries. Halton police said the lengthy investigation that followed resulted in a total of 27 warrants being au- thorized and required the services of numerous Hal- ton police resources, in- cluding the intelligence unit, Oakville Criminal In- vestigations Bureau, Inti- mate Partner Violence Unit, Emergency Services Unit, Mobile Surveillance Unit, Cyber Crime Unit, Human Trafficking/Drug Unit and Regional Fraud Unit. On Wednesday, March 2, Halton police executed a warrant at a residence in Durham and made one ar- rest. A 23-year-old Oshawa man has been charged with: • Attempted murder while using a restricted firearm or prohibited fire- arm; • Aggravated assault; • Carrying a concealed weapon; • Unauthorized posses- sion of a firearm; • Careless use of a fire- arm; • Discharging a firearm in a reckless manner; • Possession of a weap- on for a dangerous pur- pose; • Pointing a firearm; • Three counts of failing to comply with a release order.
