There was a real internation- al flavour to the 6th annual Festival Days Arm Wrestling Championship as competitors came from as far away as Michigan and Ohio. In all, there were 104 entered for Saturday's competj- tions with $5,000 and lots ¢ trophies up for grabs. | Squirts continue | winning ways 'The Port Perry Squirt Legionaires continued their romp through League play last week as they put two more con- vincing wins into the Books. Their first was against Markham as Jason Heyworth pitched the entire game and got the win by a large 22-4 margin. Along the way he fanned 13 hit ters. 'In the hit parade, Doug Short slapped out three and drew a walk. Marc Versage also had three hits with Ryan Hawkins,' «John, Hawkins and Monsma, Casey VanSchagen, Owen St. John, Ryan Puckrin and Jason, Heyworth all picking up one cach, Showing a keen eye at the plate were Ryan Moynes, Scott" Jeffrey and Brad Monsina who had five waliesBetween them. In their second game at the Lakefront diamonds, Heyworth was again in fine form against Richmond Hill as he struck out A3 on his way to a 12-2 victory. And he helped his own cause at the plate with a homer, dou- ble and and single. Casey Van Schagen and Doug Short also had similar numbers, Marc Versage had three safeties with Scott Jeffrey and Ryan Puckrin getting two.
