On Jan. 14, the Halton Regional Police Service ar- rested two male youths in connection with an inci- dent in July of last year. The victim in the inci- dent shared an "intimate" image with a male youth known to her, police said in a news release. Police allege that the girl did not grant permission for the male to save the im- age. Once in possession of the image, police allege that the male threatened to distrib- ute it, unless further imag- es were provided. Ultimate- ly, the image was shared be- tween two parties, with a second youth posting it on- line, according to police. A 15-year-old from Bur- lington is charged with ex- tortion, distribute intimate image and voyeurism. Additionally, a 15-year- old from Caledonia is charged with distribute in- timate image.
