It's not all negative by any means." And it shows staff at other nursing homes that trips for residents are not only possible, they are very beneficial. The 16 residents and eight staff and volunteers will leave Port Perry early in the morning of March 8, fly from Toronto to Miami and board The Sensation later that afternoon. They will cruise the eastern Caribbean with stops at the ports of St. Thomas, St. Croix and San Juan where the residents. will have a chance to leave ship, do some shopping and all kinds of activities to keep them busy from the casino to movies to live shows to just lazing about by the swimming pool. "They can do as much or as little as they please," she said. The ship is well equipped for people in wheel chairs and Ms. Mitchell says the toughest part of the trip will be getting on and off the plane for the flights to Florida and back to Toronto.
