The Merchant defence shut down Oshawa the rest of the way while the offence picked up their final two runs in the bottom of the fifth to round out the scoring and take the game by a 11-2 score Jon Froats was on the mound for the Merchants and went the distance striking out five while picking up the win. Hitting for the Merchants were; Ryan Williamson with two singles and a triple, Jason Best with a single and two walks, Marc Versage with a single and a double, Jon Froats with two singles and a double, Ryan Hawkins with a single, and Derek Tindall and Marshal McQuaid each had a walk.
