Well, the following recipe will be the 'delite' of any sweetheart. Many low-cal desserts rely on gelatin to hold their shapes. A single packet has 25 calories and enough gelling power to set two cups of liquid. The easiest way to use it is to sprinkle the amount of the liquid. - In a few moments the liquid will combine with the gelatin to turn it transparent. Briefly heat the gelatin-liquid combination, uncovered in a microwave or place the container in a water bath and heat on top of stove until it dissolves. Allow gelatin mixture to cool slightly before adding to cold liquids or slowly stir some of the cold liquid into the dissolved gelatin before adding to the cold liquids. This is to prevent streaks or bits.If the dessert needs to be'beaten after almost entirely jelling, it will need to be cooled. If your mixture sets up too firm before | you get a chance to-beat it, put it out at room, temperature for a few minutes to get to the proper consistency.
