my Scugog Citizen -- Tuesday, September 14, 1993 -- 25 4 Cubs continue to keep louting' in Scouting The 1st Port Perry Cubs continued their tradition of keeping the "outing" in Scouting by holding their first Cub Meeting outside at the Kinsmen Hall Tuesday Sept. 7. At this meeting the new cubs were introduced to the leaders and the Pack and told about the upcoming Fall Camp on Sept. 11 &12 4 Camp Samac. The boys began learning their Law & Promise so they could be invested at*Fall Camp. On Sept 11 undek cloudy skies they began setting up their tents. Although the weather teased the boys ¥ith a sprinkle of rain it did npt amount to anything and t@rned out to ideal weather conditions. This year the worked on their World Conservation Badge with the help of Cub Leaders Kim King, Don Farquharson, Michael Coxon, New members of the 1st Port Farquharson. The new Cubs continued their learning of the Tenderpod requirements ready for their investment. On Sunday after Scouts Own the new Cubs were invested as well presented with their first badge they had earned which was the World Conservation Badge and many were presented with their Link Badge.
