Squirt/Pee Wee League In boys Squirt Pee Wee league action on Tuesday June 9, Techstar downed Perfect Heating by the score of 13-12. The Stars jumped to an early 2-0 lead but by the end of 3 innings, the score was tied at 8. In their final at-bat, the Heaters were down by four runs. Techstar made some brilliant defensive plays and allowed only three runners to cross the plate. Techstar's All-Stars were Chris Langford who played his best game of the season, making several key in the outfield, a great dou- ble at second base and going 2 for 2 at the plate. Jon Sanders who played a solid game at shortstop, and made a nice 'heads-up' play to end the Heaters threat of coming back in the last inning. Also for Techstar, Danny Drebit who con- tributed offensively with a 2-run double. The All-Stars for Perfect Heating were Graeme Powell who hit 3 for 3 and had a good performance on the mound. Both started out strong and, were tied the last inning. Blackstock Lioness took control of game. He caught a pop fly and also hit a 'grand slam' home run. Bryan McNamara practised his sliding skills, scoring & run. For H & M Wright Sox, Mich Truax started the action off with a home run in the first inning. Kyle Mullins also had a home run. Blake McLaughlin had a 'grand slam' home run to tie the game up in the third inning. Lishman's 18 H & M Wright Sox 8 hit a double. For H & M Wright Sox, Blake McLaughlin and Kory Bauer made some really great plays. Mitch Truax stole 3rd base. Mite J.C. Flooring 14 Jordan-Cully Jays 12 For J.C. Flooring, Ryan Woods pitched a great game, striking out three batters in a row to end the game and take the team tw a victory. For Jordan Cully Jays, Danny Deeth made a great double play. Nicholas Malcolm had an excellent home run. London Life Lazers 10 Port Perry IGA 9 For London Life, good hits were made by Micheal S., Ryan S., Matthew W., Joey D., Corrine S., Grant A, Derek R., Thomas M., and Amanda D. Excellent pitching and great playing by the infielders and the outfielders. For IGA fantastic plays were made by Tim B. on first. Ryan Grieve made an incred- ible double play. Good catches were made by Cameron at short stop and Jeremy at first. Great playing by all and hope you had fun. Senior For Mark's Maintenance, Gord Bentley had a triple and Johnathon McCourt had two home runs. Jim Chapman hit a 'Grand Slam'. A good line drive catch was made by Jason Lions. For Blackstock Hardware, Marshal McQuaid, Josh Malcolm, Ryan Peter, Natasha Burgess and Derrick Malcolm all had great hits. A great relay was made from field to Adam, pitcher, to Scott, backcatcher, for an out at home.
