Loving mother and step-mother to Terri Stuart- McEwan (Will), Susan Stuart, Michael Milthorpe (Kathy), Murray Milthorpe (Caroline) and Michelle Milthorpe. Nana extraordinaire to Katie, Meghan, Cameron (Shelby), Andrea, Hannah (Ryan), Chloe, Christopher, Michael (Carolina), Ava and Anson. Fondly remembered by her brother-in- law, Al Loerke and nephews Paul and Scott and all of our extended family members from the Campbell, Hayes and Milthorpe clans. Born in Winnipeg and raised in Sioux Lookout, ON. She attended nursing school in Thunder Bay and left for the big city, TO when she met her first husband, Jack Stuart in 1963. A strong and independent woman who was ahead of her time, she balanced being a mother of two and her nursing career. While the marriage did not last, Pat continued to pursue her healthcare career, raising her daughters to be independent young women. In 1977, Pat went on a date with Howard and it was a match made in Heaven. They married in 1978 and successfully merged two families and five children. All the meanwhile Pat decided to take her cardiac nursing experience and transition her knowledge and expertise into the healthcare sales sector. Pat transformed herself and expanded into the world of medical sales and successfully joined global, tier one, best in class companies including MDS and Medtronic. She had an extremely successful sales career and won numerous awards including the President's Cup. She was an inspiration to her team and was highly influential in new business development, client relationships and driving sales growth in the Canadian marketplace. After a long and rewarding sales career, (post retirement), Patricia decided to go back to her first love of patient care at Trillium and Oakville Trafalgar Hospitals. Pat had a natural gift and passion to nurture and care for others. Pat's unconditional and relentless care for others transcended into her career where she positively impacted thousands of patients and significantly enhanced their personal experience over the years. In addition to her busy home/ work life she was also an active volunteer with Rotary, St. Paul's United Church and at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital. Along the way Pat collected treasured friends from every part of her active life. Pat was a true force of nature and when she wasn't working or volunteering, she was busy gardening, cooking, planning dinner parties, entertaining or sharing a glass of wine and "laughing out loud, always". She never forgot to acknowledge someone's special occasion or celebration, but most of all, she was proud of the extended family she raised and reveled in all of their accomplishments both big and small. She was married to Howard for over 42 years and after 369 days since he passed away, Patricia has rejoined him and we know they are dancing together, forever. We know that they both loved a great party and when we can all get together again, there will be a huge celebration to honour two wonderful people who lived life with passion. A very special thank you to all of the medical teams at UHN, Princess Margaret & Oakville Trafalgar for all of their compassionate care. "We will miss you greatly and know that your legacy lives on within your children, grandchildren and friends." Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be held Thursday, April 29th @ 11am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation @ www.thepmcf.ca/donate or Acclaim Health's new Dementia Care Centre in Oakville @ acclaimhealth.ca/ donate would be greatly appreciated. Long days, long nights, you bore your pain. To wait for a cure, but all in vain. Till God Himself knew what was best. He took you home and gave you rest. The rolling stream of life rolls on. But still the vacant chair recalls the love, the voice, the smile of the one who once sat there. Just a thought of sweet remembrance just a memory sad and true, just the love and sweet devotion of one who thinks of you. Your memory is as dear today, as in the hour you passed away. Loving and kind in all your ways, upright and just to the end of your days. 1-800-263-6480 classifieds@metroland.comCLASSIFIEDS OBITUARIES | ANNOUNCEMENTS | JOBS | MARKETPLACE OBITUARIES
