Area convenience stores could soon have On- tario-made beer and wine on the menu. 7-Eleven has applied for 61 licences to serve liquor across the province includ- ing at the chain's 2267 Lakeshore Dr. location in Oakville and 735 Guelph St. location in Burlington. A spokesperson for the 7-Eleven Canada con- firmed that the company had applied for licences across the province to serve Ontario-made beer and wine products in- store, during limited hours, in designated con- sumption sites. Should the licences be approved, all staff han- dling alcohol would be SmartServe trained.
