AN EXCELLENT PLAY WELL STAGED The second presentation of "Take My Advice" given by the Young Folk of the Port Perry United Church, was a fine performance. Unfortunately the weather interfered greatly with the attendance. The Agricultural Society, under whose auspices the play was given, are very pleased with the entertain- ment and the courtesy of the players and the Sunday School Orchestra, and extend sincerest thanks for this practical expression 'of good will. te eM ctor Y. Price enter- tained about ninety young people in the community hall, Myrtle, Friday evening, April 24th. Dancing was the pastime of the evening. All report a good time. Guests were present from Myrtle, Port~Perry, Ashburn, Brooklin, Whitby and Toronto. _ Farmers were glad of the rainfall of last week. Most of the seeding is completed, and a good rain was need- ed. Mrs. Jacobi who was before her marriage Eliza Jane Rob- inson, died at the age of seventy-two. Since coming from Ireland, fifty-five years ago, the deceased has lived in this city.
