Our prophetess, poet, and historian, will take part. Now that the season of winter R. Somerville, Wm. sports. is over, and we have no more cold weather, softball and tennis will soon begin. The school is building two fine tennis courts on the site of the old school. The students are looking forward eagerly to these ten- nis courts. Munro has returned after spending a few days at the home of Mrs. Bunker, Toronto. It has been predicted that we are to have a very early spring. It looks as though the weather man is right. Our play entitled. "The Bashful Mr. Bobs" given by our Community Club in the town hall here on Wednesday, March 20th, was well attended con- sidering the state of the roads and was much enjoyed by all. The char- acters took their parts splendidly. The duet by Messrs. Donald Ferguson and Vyrtle Crosier and the Spanish solo renderéd by a member of the audience, given between acts, were both * greatly appreciated. The pro- ceeds amounted to $28.00. Mr, Mer- riam was the chairman. We were very sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. A. Simpson, at 1.30 o'clock on Monday morning in To- ronto. She was well known and high- ly respected citizens. . Our deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family. Our community club have purch a new piano.
