Mr. Homer Ferguson spent Easter with his parents. Miss Florence Walker of Brampton, and Miss Rhea Walker, of Toronto, are spending the holidays with their parents. Miss Edith Peters is home for the holidays. Among the Toronto visitors in town for Easter we noticed Mr. Grant Rundle, Mr. Reginald Doubt, Mr. Morley Doubt, Mr. Clifford Vickery, Mr. Sidney Ashton, Mr. Douglas Lucas and Misses Isabel Lucas and Olice Gerrow. The Misses Norma and Laura Orchard are home for the Easter holidays. ~ Miss Mildred Botwright was in town over the week end. Messrs, James and William Mowat and lady friends were in town for the holiday. Mrs. Jos. Ashton, of Toronto, spent the week end with her daughter Mrs. Denshgm, Mr. Alex. Woods, of St. Catharines, is holidaying at his home here. Mr. and Mrs. Blake Pearsall and son Norman, were in Toronto for Easter. Messrs, Geo. and Douglas Cawker spent Sunday with their father. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Christy and Miss Frances, and Miss Annie Farmer spent Easter in Bloomfield. Miss Foster has returned to her home after holidaying with Mr. and Mrs. W. A, Christy. A twelve volume set of Shake- speare and other books have been placed on the shelves of the Public Library. We regret to hear of the serious illness of Mr. Gordon McKee through blood poisoning. Mr, McKee had the misfortune to poison his hand frem a scratch from a tin, and blood poison resulted. We hope he will soon re- cover, Mrs, Merlin Letcher will fiot re- ceive next Tuesday. \ Miss Florence Graham of Bobcay- geon, and Miss Mildred Botwright of Toronto, spent their Easter holidays with Mr. and Mrs, Robt. Town. The regular meeting of the W. C. T. U. will be held at the home of Mrs. John Bradley, on Wednesday, at 3 p.m. A good attendance is requested. (Sandy) Stewart, formerly of Port Perry, was presented with honorary life membership. The presentation was made by Mr." D. W. Griffith, a former president of the Club. Mr; Griffith paid sincere and high tribute to the work Mr. Stewart had done for the Granite Club and curling in general A rousing reception was given Mr. Stewart by the members. The veteran curler gracefully acknowledged the honor and thanked the members of the Club for their kindness. The choir very ably and reverently rendered the service anthem to a well filled church. The arch of lilies made a very pleasing effect in the church and sanctuary. At 8 am. H.
