H. H. Stevens, Minister of 'Customs, in the Meighen Cabinet, was an after mid night feature. : The surprising fact of 'the campaign in Western Ontario is that the cities, which have heretofore been regarded as neces- sarily Conservative and high tariff have veered with the swing of pendulum in the opposite direction the reduction in tax on motor | cars, with the resultant increase in sales being one commanding influence.
