PO A GOOD "SEND-OFF" Last Friday evening, the young folk of Port Perry put on a dance at | the Town Hall, and enjoyed a thoroughly good time. Aside from the dancing and the excellent music, the feature of the evening was a pre- iséntation to "Jimmy" Harrison, who was leaving next morning for De- troit. Jim was called upon the carpet in formal style and duly "tried" to see if he were the person in question. When this ceremony was over the following address was read: To James Harrison, Port Perry, Ont, Dear Jim: Your chums felt that they couldn't see you leave town without some ex- pression of good will on their part. We are sorry that you are leaving Port Perry because you have been a "good scout," and have kept up your end in helping everybody to have a good time. In sport and in social life you have been one of the dependable boys. We shall miss you a great deal: but expect that you will make good. Whenever you can get back to the old home town you will be more than welcome. We ask you to accept this club bag as a token of our esteem, and trust that you will often use it in travelling back to Port Perry. You have our best wishes for your success, At the conclusion of the reading of the address Jim was 'presented with a very handsome club bag. He was greatly surprised and much pleased. The boys had kept their secret well, and Jim had received no inkling of what was to be done. ; The staff at McIntyre's gave Jim a nice gold signet ring. . Everybody wishes Jim well, and he will make a place for himself in the world. am-- (mn EASTER SERVICES Rev. T. W.
