GOULD Bell Phone 97 r 8 ------00 0 : MIGHT HAVE BEEN FATAL Mr. Stanley F. Gerrow "had a nar- row escape from death recently. He <was in Mr. Aylesworth's 'yard in Oshawa, and was engaged in cleaning the carbureter of his car, when the friction of the running motor ignited the gasoline, and there was a burst of flame which enveloped Mr. Gerrow's head and shoulders, burning him very seriously, particularly about the chest and neck. Almost immediately Mr. Aylesworth managed to smother the flames with his coat; indeed had it not been for Mr. Aylesworth's timely aid, it is probable that Mr. Gerrow would have been fatally burried. At the time of writing the patient, who is at his home in Port Perry, is doing as well as can be ex- pected. - 000m BORN To Mr. and Mrs. M. R.
