Jackson-Elliott A pretty wedding took: place on Thursday, June 15, at the home of the bride's parents, Rev: W. and Mrs. Elliott, 246 Church St., Belleville, when their only daughter, Alma Gertrude, was united in marriage to James Ed- win Jackson, of Port Perry. The ceremony was conducted by the bride's father, Rev. W. Elliott, Pastor of the Methodist Taber- nacle, Belleville, and President of the Bay of Quinte Methodist Conference, assisted by Rev. C. H. Elliott, of Hillsdale, uncle of the bride; Rev. E. A. Tonkin, grandfather of the groom, and Rev. D. W. Harrison, Port Perry, the bride being given away by her brother, Dr. E, V. Elliott, of Dunnville. The bride was charm- ingly attired in ivory satin char. muese trimmed with radium lace and seed pearls, silk chiffon em- broidered veil, with coronet of orange - blossoms and carrying Ophela roses. The bridesmaids were Miss Jean Strong, of Bright- on, and Miss Ivy Culross, of To- ronto. Mr. Harold Jackson, brother of the groom, was grooms. man. Miss Winnifred Pearce, of Wellington, played the wedding march. A dainty buffet luncheon was served by six of the bride's girl friends: Misses Vira Kindred, Nina Embrey and Hilda Barlow, of Belleville; Mrs. Lambert 'A. Anderson, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Misses Gertrude and Marion Foster, of Port Perry.
