Mr. Kent has grown some lovely flowers this summer, par- ticularly dahlias. It has been an education to see them. We are pleased to know that the display is to be made. Port Perry Rink The contract for the erection of the Port Perry Skating Rink has been awarded to Messrs. Preston & Haines, their tender price being $8350. The bulding will be 105 ft x 180 ft. over all, with metal roof over the main arch, which will have a span of 72 feet, which will permit the erection of seats and standing room inside the arches, instead of behind them as in the Uxbridge Rink. The skating and hockey iee will be 60 x 160, and there will be two curling ices of regulation: size, one at either side of the main building. oe Ample provision is being made for comfortable waiting rooms.
