Our popular teacher Miss McIntosh, having arranged a treat for the children, gave them a very enjoyable afternoon. The treat consisted of choco- lates, oranges, and ice-cream. A vote of thanks, acccompanied by cheers, was extended to Miss McIntosh from her pupils, by whom she is very highly thought of. } Although Miss McIntosh only came at Christmas, she has en- deared herself to everyone with whom she came in contact . . and especially the children with who she has worked. : We are very sorry to lose her from our midst, but we under- stand she is leaving to secure a school nearer home. Our loss will be another school's gain. Later the pupils presented Miss McIntosh with a token of their esteem, accompanied by an address, expressive of the es- teem in which she was held. She is a teacher rot soon for-. gotten by her pupils. The address read as follows: To Miss McIntosh; Dear Teacher: It is with much regret that we, your pupils, have learned that = are going to leave our school. / * During your stay with us. we have learned to love you dearly and appreciate very much your untiring efforts for our welfare. You have have always been ready to help us with our studies 'tor join us in our play, and we all | unite in thanking you for the lovely treat you gave us. f "We would ask you to accept this dish 'and box as a slight token of olr sppreciation, not for their value, but as a connec- ting link of friendship and te show our love and esteem for you. . 7 ; That you may be blessed with health and prosperity in. your next school is the wish of all your pupils, Signed on behalf of the school.
